Our Team

The Village Clinic Ltd consists of a team of competent, committed and experienced employees. Allow us to introduce them to yous on this page. Sally Albutt (nee Cook), Podiatrist

Sally qualified as a podiatrist from The London Human foot Hospital in 1991. After qualifying, she covered a maternity leave post before working for the East Gloucestershire Trust. Sally ran clinics in the Cotswolds (in Bourton-on-the-water and Stow-on-the-Wold) and worked alongside GPs at the Glebe Subcontract Surgery in Hatherley.

Sally began to specialise in musculoskeletal problems alongside participating in blast surgery. Sally was a lead figure in the development of the Trust orthotics laboratory, training several technicians in the art of insole and orthotic manufacture.

Lucy Donnelly (nee Melt), Physiotherapist

Lucy qualified as a physiotherapist from the Academy of Birmingham in 1995 and then enjoyed working for the NHS at Cheltenham General Hospital, Tewkesbury Hospital and St Pauls Medical Centre. She specialised in musculoskeletal work from 1997 and has continued to enjoy helping patients to relieve their pain and become dorsum to normal.

 Lucy worked every bit a rugby physiotherapist for Cheltenham Civil Service Rugby team for many years and still has a passion for the game

Ricky Cheema, Podiatrist

Ricky qualified with a BSc Hons degree in Podiatry and then followed this upwards with a post graduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Weather of The Pes & Ankle, specialising in heel hurting. Other qualifications include courses in Strength & Conditioning, Running Injuries, Load Management and Shockwave Therapy.

He has a special involvement in sports podiatry and biomechanics and uses the RS Scan for gait analysis and the latest in iii-D printed orthotics. Ricky has worked in a variety of NHS and private practice settings and has been at the Hamlet Clinic now for over ten years.

Ricky works difficult to go on up-to date with the latest in evidence-based research and is regularly reading effectually subject field matters, studying and attention courses. This ensures that his patients receive the virtually effective advice and rehab plans for their pes and lower-limb pathologies.

Benn Boshall, Podiatrist

Afterward graduating from the University of Southampton in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry Benn started  working for the NHS in Greenwich, London so every bit a Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist and part of the podiatric surgery (foot & ankle surgery) team based in Portsmouth.
Benn completed a Masters degree in Podiatric Surgery at The University of Brighton in 2016.

Gwen Worthington, Podiatrist

Gwen trained and qualified at Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham earlier moving to Gloucestershire to piece of work for the NHS. She has worked for over 30 years as a podiatrist and has been part of the team at the Village Clinic for more xv years.

Gwen enjoys working with patients of all age groups, providing treatment for corns, calluses and nail conditions.

Gwen's interests include walking and cooking, specially baking cakes.

Georgie Parnell (was Prior) , Podiatrist
Georgie qualified as a podiatrist from Southampton Academy School of Podiatry in 2006 and and then worked within the NHS in South Wales, Gwent and specialised in  smash surgery and tissue viability.
Her current specialities are: nail surgery, swift microwave verruca treatment, biomechanics and insoles
Georgie has a keen interest in sport and athletics and is a keen runner.
Georgie joined our squad in 2015, but unfortunately,due to family unit commitments, we lost her for a few years but were delighted when she was able to re join our team in  March 2021.

Jo Reece,  Foot Health Practitioner

Jo is one of our receptionist who nosotros mitt picked to train as a Foot Health practitioner to join our Podiatry squad.  Jo qualified in June 2021 and has been working alongside the Podiatry team, assisting them in treating the more routine foot care patients, leaving them time to deal with more complex issues and specialist treatments

Jo tin treat:

• Uncomplicated Nail care

 •Reducing thick/fungal nails
• Light difficult pare and corns
• Footwear advice
• Lacuna technique (a treatment for fungal nails)

If yous have straight forward  foot care needs, having an
appointment with Jo will save yous money, yous'll get a longer

Lynne Cawthorne, Physiotherapist

Lynne qualified equally a physiotherapist from the Articulation Services Schoolhouse of Physiotherapy at RAF Halton, Buckinghamshire, in 1985. She gained experience in the outset four years at The Royal Liverpool Teaching NHS hospital working through the various medical specialities. She so went to work in Cyprus at the RAF and army bases for 3 years, where she gained valuable experience in treating mainly Forces orthopaedic patients and working under deadlines to go them back on duty and onto the sports fields.

Sally Church, Physiotherapist

Sally qualified as a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists from Coventry University in 2002 and started working for the local NHS Trust in Gloucestershire. Initially specialising in general outpatient problems, she quickly adult a special involvement in women's health. At Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham Hospitals Sally developed both her full general physiotherapy skills and – working closely with midwives and gynaecologists – she helped to promote their antenatal and postnatal service.

Isobel Evans, Physiotherapist

Isobel qualified equally a physiotherapist from the Royal Orthopaedic School of Physiotherapy, Birmingham, in 1992. She gained her junior feel at Birmingham, Warwick and Redditch NHS hospitals before moving to Cheltenham General in 1997, taking on the part equally senior physiotherapist in sports injuries and rehabilitation. Isobel moved into private practice in 2000, gaining a wide range of experience working in private hospitals and clinics, too beingness the physiotherapist for Stow-on-the-Wold rugby club for five years. Isobel joined our team of physiotherapists in 2007.

Karen Worsfold, Physiotherapist

Karen qualified equally a physiotherapist from the Academy of Brighton in 2003. She gained junior experience at Redditch NHS hospital before moving to Cheltenham general infirmary NHS Trust. Here, Karen gained farther experience in a wide range of disciplines before specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients.

Karen has many years' feel treating a broad range of astute, chronic and complex MSK disorders.
